Greetings!

Here we are only weeks away from hop harvest and things have been busy at the brewery. We have an old friend leaving and a new face. Also our winter limited wine is in and we have fresh hops coming in.

Willis Will Be Missed

  Willis and Jason

Change isn't always easy, but often it brings new exciting opportunities. For the last 3 years Willis has been a great addition to our family. Always eager to help, with a great attitude, and a hard work ethic. Unfortunately for us he has recently decided to move back to Kelso, WA and will be leaving the brewery staff soon. We will be holding a potluck and party for him Friday September 26th from 6pm-8ish. Bring a snack to share and help us send off Willis in proper Gallaghers' fashion.

The newest member of our team, Jason will be present. So stop by to say good bye to Willis and hello to Jason.

Fresh Hops!
I can smell it already

Brewer Contamination It's that time of year again, the trees are green, the beer is cold, and the hop vines are budding. Which can only one thing, It's almost time for hop harvest. This year we will we do something similar to what we did last year. We will brew a variety of fresh hop beers and offer the chance to buy in by the case. We will offer cases to the mug club first and if we still have some left after that then we'll open it up to everybody. This year we will be receiving Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Citra and Simcoe fresh hops. Look for info soon on the styles and recipies we plan to make.

Also if you have fresh hops at home we would be happy to help you make some tasty brew with them. They are best if used within a few days of picking and should be stored cool until used. If you are unable to use them right away it is best to dry them and store them in the freezer until you can find time to come down and make some beer with them.

See you at the brewery!

Cheers,
