first round of limited wines have arrived. If you have one reserved
you can come down and make it, if not then get yours before they're
gone. Also we are fast approaching the deadline for our mug club

January - Washington Meritage
|
|
A blend of Cabernet
Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot, this wine features
great extract, deep colour and intense aromatics of dark berry
fruit, cassis, peppery spice, cedar and smoke. The seductive nose
of this wine foreshadows magnificent texture and flavour,
including dark berries, liquorice, vanilla and warm brown spices
that glide across the palate. The texture and mouthfeel of the
wine offers up silky tannins and a velvety smooth structure.

- South African Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon
|

|
Sauvignon Blanc has
wild, herbaceous flavours and tart, grapefruit-like character,
which shows strongly in the young wine, while Sémillon has
flavours of honeydew melon and sweet honey that take a bit longer
to come out. Together the two grapes make a lush, balanced wine
with great up-front fruit and a satisfying, rich finish.

Mug Club Shirt Design Contest.
ATTENTION!! "NEW DEAL" (no, not Frank Roosevelt
- Mug Club!) 2012 marks
the 10th anniversary of the Gallaghers' Mug Club. Since this
is a special occasion we want to give you all the opportunity
to submit your own design recommendation for this year's new
Mug Club shirt. -
That's the
old part. Here's the NEW PART:
Even you artistically challenged folks can now participate in the
contest. Since no one has actually submitted a suggestion, ALL takers are welcome.
Bring in your best stick figure image of anything GALLAGERHERS' and
we will make it work. The winning design will be chosen by
the brewery staff and premiered at our annual Brewers' Appreciation
party set for Saturday. Feb. 25th. The creator of the
winning design will win a $150 gift certificate and have their
design worn by 300+ mug clubbers plus a few sexy brewmasters.
Update: We have changed some of the rules because
we haven't gotten very many responses yet. Please feel
free to submit any form of a design/idea and if choosen it will be
the basis of our next mug club shirt.
- Only
one entry per Mug Clubber
- Entries
must be received by 1/21/2012
- Each
design must have a front pocket design that says "Mug
Club 2012" and/or "Mug Club 10th Anniversary"
- Each
design must have a back design that highlights the Mug Clubs
10th anniversary
- Designs
